About us

Our
Story
B.R.I.C.K. is founded by architects Iris Papadatou and Marilia Spanou, both UK-educated and now based in the heart of Athens. They share a deep interest in how children learn and grow through play, interaction, and creative exploration—and in how young people's ideas can inspire and reshape the world around us.
Iris studied at the University of Cambridge and the Royal College of Art, and is the co-founder of YOU&ME Architecture. She has led educational workshops at the Royal Academy of Arts, RIBA, and the Victoria & Albert Museum, and has also worked as a tutor at Central Saint Martins UAL.
Marilia studied at the Architectural Association and has since worked with artists and architects on exhibitions and competitions in the UK, Greece and Japan . She is now based in Athens, working across architecture and art, with an ongoing interest in fibre experimentation.
